The European Parliament has given the green light for the phasing out of man-made fluorinated gases, known as F-gases, which contribute to global warming. They are used in devices such as refrigerators or air conditioning systems. Their use will be completely phased out by 2050, MEPs decided on Tuesday in Strasbourg.
