It turns out that Meizu has not left the smartphone market. Along with focusing on AI products, the company continues to offer smartphones. The latest of these is the Meizu 21 Note, which is scheduled to launch in China today at 14:30 CET.
However, on the eve of the launch, Weibo teaser Digital Chat Station revealed almost all the key technical features of the device.
Meizu 21 Note specifications (rumored):
The phone features a 6.78-inch flat AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. It’s an 8T LTPO panel that has a peak brightness of up to 5000 nits and also supports high-frequency PWM dimming of 2160 Hz. The display has uniform bezels on all four sides. There is an optical fingerprint scanner for unlocking.
However, this phone seems to be less productive as it has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, while the Meizu 21 (review) and Meizu 21 Pro, which were released last year, boast a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. The 8 Gen 2 is paired with 16 GB of RAM. The phone also has a 5000 mm² VC cooling system that can withstand high workloads. The phone is equipped with a 5500 mAh battery and supports 66W wired fast charging.
It has a glass front and back with a metal frame and is available in two different colors – white and black. On the back, there is a dual rear camera with an RGB LED ring flash. According to the information, the phone is 8.2 mm thick and weighs 205 grams.
In addition to a more powerful chipset, the Meizu 21 has a slightly smaller 6.55-inch display with a 2340 x 1080 resolution, a lower 120Hz refresh rate, and offers a relatively lower 1920Hz PWM brightness control, with peak display brightness reaching 1800 nits. However, it is available in more colors, including smart purple and vivid blue.
