Apple ‘s iPhone Repair and Maintenance page has posted information that the company has increased the cost of replacing batteries in iPhone 16 series devices. According to the page, the newly released iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will cost users $119 to replace the battery. This is about 20% more (a jump of $20 from the previous price of $99) than the cost of replacing the battery in last year’s iPhone 15 Pro models.
If you are a member of the AppleCare+ program and your battery has less than 80% of its original capacity, you can get a replacement at no additional charge. However, users who do not have AppleCare+ can have their iPhone battery replaced for a fee.
Possible reasons for the price increase
The increase in the price of iPhone 16 Pro models can be explained by several factors.
