A young Newark fencer has shown great promise after finishing second in the East Midland qualifiers for the British Youth Championships as he competed in an age group above. 13-year-old Harvey Lack competed in the under-14 men’s foil event where he earned a silver medal for his efforts. Lack competed against in a field of five at Nottingham Trent University and was only defeated by a competitor who is on the British team.
