Labor leaders, civil rights activists and others on Monday unveiled a statue outside Newark Penn Station of A. Philip Randolph, a pioneer who organized the Pullman Porters’ union and, four decades later, headed the historic 1963 March on Washington. Monday was the 135th anniversary of Randolph’s birth, in Crescent City, Florida, in 1889.
