The long-awaited smartphone from Meizu, Meizu 21 Note, has finally appeared. Despite numerous rumors surrounding the device, it was officially unveiled. May 16 was the date set for the Meizu 21 Note presentation, and today it appeared in China. In fact, we know a lot of details, as previous leaks have shown that the only mystery was the price. The Meizu 21 Note has very good specifications that are offered at a fair price.

The Meizu 21 Note boasts a minimalist design, a powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, and a stunning OLED panel – all at a surprisingly affordable price in China. What’s even more interesting is that all phone configurations come with 16 GB of RAM. The base version (16GB+256GB) costs 2599 yuan (about 360 USD), and the 16GB+512GB variant costs 2799 yuan (about 387 USD).

Meizu 21 Note

It’s safe to say that Meizu 21 Note is a strong flagship device that boasts powerful specs, although its camera capabilities may not be that great. The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and comes in two different configurations: 16GB+256GB and 16GB+512GB. It is equipped with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. 21 Note is not the best in the Meizu 21 series, but it is great that Meizu offers 16 GB of RAM in both configurations. The phone is available in black and white colors, and the white variant also has white bezels.

Meizu 21 Note features a 6.78-inch OLED panel with 1.5K LTPO resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. The display dynamically adjusts the refresh rate between 1 Hz and 144 Hz. This display can reach a maximum local brightness of 5000 nits and 1600 nits in HBM mode. In addition, the phone screen supports PWM brightness control of 2160 Hz.

Meizu 21 Note is equipped with a 5500 mAh battery, despite the fact that it is only 8.2 mm thick. The charging speed is limited to 66 watts. Meizu’s ability to fit such a large battery into a relatively thin device demonstrates impressive design work. Keep in mind that phones with batteries over 5,000 mAh often exceed 8.2 mm in thickness.

Meizu’s new phone, the Meizu 21 Note, features a dual camera setup with a 50MP f/1.7 primary camera (S5KGN5) and a 13MP f/2.4 ultra-wide-angle camera (S5K3L6). On the front is a 16-megapixel selfie camera, OIS is available only on the main camera. The phone is capable of recording video with a resolution of up to 8K and has two speakers.
