A former pilot from Mercer County was sentenced to 12 years in prison for traveling to the Philippines to have sex with minors, U.S. District Attorney Philip R. Sellinger announced Thursday. Frank Maile, 68, of Hamilton, and formerly of New Egypt in Plumsted, pleaded guilty on Sept. 6, 2023 to allegations he traveled overseas to have sex with two minors. He was charged with illicit sexual conduct abroad, sexual contact with a person under 18 years old and production of child pornography.
