Miguel Almiron’s future at Newcastle United has been up for debate all summer. Almiron was linked with a move away to Saudi Arabia despite having snubbed interest from the Gulf State in January before Eddie Howe hinted he was likely to stay at Newcastle. The situation, however, then changed again when MLS outfit Charlotte FC made a move but that ultimately collapsed. The 30-year-old is no doubt a fairly divisive figure, having struggled so much last year that a member of the coaching staff was said to have punched the dugout while watching him in action.
