Thousands flocked to Northcroft Park at the weekend to join the Newbury Real Ale Festival, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. Crowds packed into the Craft Beer, Cider and Ale tents in search of refreshing beverages on a pleasantly warm day, complete with entertainment on the main stage which rolled into the night. “It’s great to get our face out there and tell people what we’re about,” said Shaun Matthews, volunteer manager at Sport In Mind, which is one of the beneficiaries of the proceeds from the festival.
