Teenage tennis player Ruben Mudd was celebrating one success after another in a memorable summer. Folkestone’s Mudd kicked off his purple patch when he defeated Joshua Houseman, fighting back after losing the first set 4-1 to win the second set 4-0 and clinch the match tie-break 10-6 to claim the men’s Grade 4 London and South East Tour title. That event was held at Freedom Leisure, Maidstone. He then came out on top in the under-16 boys’ final against Jack Simpson 6-3, 6-2 in the 96th Woking Open Grade 3 Tournament.
