A set of gates which were originally made for the Queen’s coronation have been refurbished and given a new lease on life. Barroway Drove Village Hall is home to the gates commissioned in 1953 to commemorate Queen Elizabeth II’s ascent to the throne. They were displayed at King Charles’ Coronation celebrations in 2022 and the Jubilee at the hall earlier that year, where fundraising to get the gates refurbished first started.
