Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto has been placed on the 15-day injured list with right triceps tightness, the club said Sunday. The 25-year-old right-hander had to be pulled after two innings in Saturday’s game against the Kansas City Royals. Yamamoto is 6-2 with a 2.92 ERA in 14 starts in his major league rookie season. Last December, the three-time Pacific League MVP in Japan signed a 12-year deal worth $325 million, the most guaranteed money for a pitcher in MLB history, after being posted by the Orix Buffaloes.
