Cambridge City have confirmed the appointment of Paul Cherry as the club’s new head of academy football. The Lilywhites are currently embarking on the early stages of launching an academy as they look to further enhance the youth pathway throughout the club. In Cherry, who is expected to take up the role in September 2025, City have recruited someone with experience of the education sector – specialising in sports science – and he previously played an instrumental role within that particular sector at Sky Bet League One club Port Vale’s academy.
