A lorry carrying hay bales is ‘well alight’ in a village. The fire service were alerted to the blaze in Calves Lane, Stoke-by-Nayland, between Sudbury and Hadleigh, at 12.14pm. The blaze is in a HGV with two trailers of straw, with a spokesperson for the fire service saying the vehicle is ‘well alight’. Four engines have been sent to the scene, with firefighters using hose reel jets to tackle the blaze. Police have been made aware. Crews remain at the scene.
