Organisers of a town parkrun are raising awareness of the free event – and are hoping to recruit more volunteers. Downham Academy parkrun is a free, weekly 5km event for runners of all ages and abilities which is held every Saturday morning. The run begins and ends at the school, taking participants through scenic routes in the town. A key factor behind the execution of the Downham event is the team of dedicated volunteers.
