Japanese ski jumping legend Noriaki Kasai was 30th in his first World Cup competition in four years at the home event in Sapporo, at the age of 51 and and more than 35 years after making his debut on the same hill. The 1992 ski flying world champion Kasai soared 117 and 104 metres in the men’s large hill event on Saturday. World Cup leader Stefen Kraft of Austria was the winner, with home favourite Ryoyu Kobayashi and Germany’s Andreas Wellinger completing the podium.
