The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) has issued a warning about a voluntary recall of 483 electric transit buses manufactured by Phoenix Motorcars (formerly Proterra). The recall affects Proterra 800V catalyst vehicles from 2020-2021 and ZX5 Proterra transit buses from 2020-2022. The buses are being recalled due to a potential fire hazard caused by overheating radiator fan electrical circuits.
