The Chinese economy has exceeded the government’s official growth target, after putting on a sudden spurt at the end of the year. According to the statistics office in Beijing on Wednesday, the second-largest economy grew by 5.2%. As in the year as a whole, the economy also grew by 5.2 % in the fourth quarter.
