The Ukrainian army repelled dozens of Russian attacks along the front in the east and south of the country on Saturday, its command said. The evening report from the General Staff in Kiev spoke of 71 battles – a slight decrease after 82 battles on Friday. The military figures could not be independently verified, but the official figures allow certain conclusions to be drawn about the intensity of the fighting.
