The number of people killed in an explosion of a petrol tanker in northern Nigeria has risen to 153, police told dpa on Thursday. Some 100 people, including children, were injured in Wednesday’s blast in the town of Majiya, some of them seriously, police spokesman Lawan Shi’isu Adam said.
