A woman from Fruitland, New Mexico, has been indicted on federal charges for allegedly assaulting another woman with a knife, resulting in serious bodily injury. The indictment alleges that on February 21, 2023, Richelle R. Upshaw, a 24-year-old enrolled member of the Navajo Nation, attacked the victim with a knife, causing significant harm to her head and face.
