A man shot dead 12 of his relatives in a small town in southeastern Iran on Saturday, according to state news agency IRNA citing local authorities in Kerman province. Among the dead are said to be the perpetrator’s father and brother as well as several children. IRNA reported that the man, thought to be about 30 years old, entered several houses on Saturday carrying a Kalashnikov, where he opened fire on his family. According to initial findings, the killing spree was preceded by an argument. Police are searching for the fugitive.
