There are a few months left before Google’s annual October event, where the next-generation flagship phones of the Pixel series and the Pixel Watch will be presented. Earlier today, the Pixel 9 appeared on Geekbench. Now its big brother, the Pixel 9 Pro XL, has also been spotted on the benchmarking platform. The database listings also confirm the device’s nickname. This also confirms previous reports that the XL variant, which was last found on the Pixel 4, is indeed making a comeback this year.

Pixel 9 Pro XL has appeared on Geekbench

According to Geekbench, Pixel 9 Pro XL is equipped with a motherboard codenamed “komodo”. It consists of four cores with a clock speed of 1.95 GHz, three cores with a clock speed of 2.60 GHz, and a main core with a clock speed of 3.10 GHz. This means that the phone will run on the Tensor G4 chipset. A Mali-G715 graphics processor is on board. The database listing also shows that the Pixel 9 Pro XL will have 16GB of RAM. We can expect more options at launch. In terms of software, it will ship with Android 14 out of the box.

Google Pixel 9 Pro XL scored 1,378 and 3,732 points in the single-core and multi-core Geekbench tests. That’s all the benchmarking platform reveals about the Pixel 9 Pro XL. We can expect more details to emerge in the coming months. The phone scored 1,176,410 points in AnTuTu.

Leaked CAD renders of the Pixel 9 Pro XL showed that Google will adopt a boxy design. It will retain a protruding horizontal camera bridge that does not extend into the corners. The renders showed two sensors along with a periscopic lens. Other leaks indicate that the upcoming device will have a 6.74-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 128GB of storage, and UWB support. It is also rumored that the Pixel 9 series will be equipped with a satellite communication function.
