Colorado’s status as a hotbed of the election denial movement is in the spotlight of a civil rights trial in federal court this week. Defendants Ashe Epp, Shawn Smith and Holly Kasun are accused of violating civil rights laws by launching a door-to-door “voter verification” project in at least four Colorado counties in an attempt to prove debunked allegations of widespread fraud in Colorado’s voting systems.
