A QUEUE of eager readers waited patiently outside Hungerford Bookshop to meet the broadcaster, actor and comedian Alexander Armstrong on Friday. The Pointless host was signing copies of his debut fantasy adventure for children aged nine to 13 , Evenfall: The Golden Linnet. The book appeals to fans of Philip Pullman’s His Dark Materials, Percy Jackson and Skandar, and is the first in a planned series.
