The cost of equipment hire, photocopying and room hire has been increased by a council. Southwell Town Council’s Town Environment Committee agreed the rise in costs, citing increased costs in maintenance and heating. Peter Brooker said: “We do have to protect the council.” Gazebo hire has been maintained at £10 or free for community groups, with the charge per table hired increased from £2 to £6.
