German science and technology company Merck said it is set to acquire France’s Unity-SC, a provider of inspection instrumentation for the semiconductor industry. The deal is worth €155 million ($170 million), plus further milestone-based payments. Unity-SC is based in Montbonnot-Saint-Martin, near Grenoble, and also specializes in semiconductor measurement equipment.
