A suspected Israeli strike hit a car late Friday in eastern Lebanon killing a Hamas official, Lebanese security and Hamas sources said. According to a statement by the al-Qassam Brigade, the military arm of the Palestinian Islamist Hamas movement, the official, who goes by the name Sharbeel Ali Asseyed, was killed in an Israeli strike on his car in Majdel al Anjar, in the western Bekaa region. The state-run National News Agency (NNA) said the raid also wounded two others, but did not specify if they were civilians or Hamas members.
