Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has filed a lawsuit against a North Texas doctor for allegedly violating state law by administering prohibited “gender transition” treatments to nearly two dozen minors. The lawsuit follows the implementation of Senate Bill 14, a law that took effect in September 2023. SB14, which was upheld by the Texas Supreme Court in June 2024, bans medical interventions for minors related to “gender transitions,” including surgeries, puberty blockers, and cross-sex hormones.
