The Obong of Calabar, Edidem Ekpo Okon Abasi Otu, V has appealed to the federal government to complete the Adiabo bridge started by the late General Sani Abacha’s government in 1993. He made the appeal through the Obong of Calabar Executive Forum, OCEF, an executive and advisory arm in the Palace of the Obong headed by high Chief Henshaw. He explained that the bridge was to open up the hinterlands and link Akwa Ibom State to reduce journey hours and improve the economic fortunes of communities along the road.
