Two alpine skiing racers had to be removed from the track by helicopter on Wednesday after incidents during a downhill practice session at the famous Streif course in Austria’s Kitzbühel. Barnabas Szollos, competing for Israel, crashed heavily, hit his head on the icy piste, lost his helmet and slid into the safety net. The 25-year-old was treated off the course for a long time and was rescued by helicopter. There was initially no information on Szollos’ health condition.
