North Korea has fired an unidentified ballistic missile towards the east of the Sea of Japan, between the Korean peninsula and Japan, South Korea’s General Staff said late Sunday evening. No further details were initially available. North Korea, a self-proclaimed nuclear power, is prohibited from testing ballistic missiles by UN resolutions.
