Former Maidstone captain Gavin Hoyte has a new club in Kent. Hoyte, who’s just turned 34, left the Stones at the end of last season after five years at the Gallagher Stadium. He’s joined Isthmian Premier side Folkestone where he links up with ex-Maidstone team-mate Joan Luque. Invicta are his third Kent club having also had a spell at Gillingham. Right-back Hoyte, who started his career at Arsenal, captained Maidstone to the National League South title in 2022.
