A MAN has been sent to the crown court for sentencing for an offence of child cruelty. Razwan Malik appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, February 21. The 38-year-old, of Willow Tree Glade, Calcot, admitted wilfully assaulting, ill treating, neglecting, abandoning or exposing a child to unnecessary suffering or injury to health in Reading between specific dates. Magistrates sent the case to be sentenced by a judge sitting at Reading Crown Court on a date to be fixed. Mr Malik was meanwhile released on unconditional bail.
