Ukrainian Vice Prime Ministers Yulia Svyrydenko and Mykhailo Fedorov held a meeting with prominent historian and UNITED24 Ambassador Timothy Snyder. They visited the training ground and looked at the results of the work of the demining robots that Timothy Snyder is assembling together with Mark Hamill:
- The Zmiy ground demining complex operates in hard-to-reach areas and clears mines using a special trawl with chains.
- The KNLR-E multi-purpose tracked platform has a fully armored hull and can move on any surface.
- UGV SIRKO-S1 – reaches a maximum speed of 14 km/h and clears mines in extreme conditions.
“Ukraine is currently the most mined country in the world: 24% of the territory is potentially dangerous due to contamination with mines and unexploded ordnance. The robots will help speed up the demining process and save thousands of lives,” says Fedorov.
