After the Peregrine capsule missed the target of a first commercial landing on the moon, it is set to crash back to earth in a controlled manner this Thursday. The capsule should burn up in the Earth’s atmosphere over the South Pacific around 1,000 km north of New Zealand, around 10 am on Friday (2100 GMT Thursday), the Pittsburgh-based company Astrobotic announced.
