West Norfolk Deputy Mayor Paul Bland joined more than 80 members of the King’s Lynn Bowls Club on Saturday to celebrate its 50th Anniversary. Joining the players for a champagne Spider competition, the Deputy Mayor bowled his first-ever wood to the delight of his fellow competitors. The club, with over 120 members, with ages ranging from 13 to 93 years old, and meets twice a week for social roll-ups with league matches taking place five evenings a week.
