A signature event in a town’s calendar returned this month, celebrating a small, but rather special, instrument. Diss Ukulele Day, which started in 2018, attracted players from across the region on July 6, for a series of workshops and open mic sessions, before culminating in a concert headlined by Anarchy in the Ukulele. Organised by avid ukulele player Peter Arnold, from Bressingham, the event also saw people take part in a ‘Big Strum’ in The Corn Hall in St Nicholas Street.
