Singapore has ordered five social media platforms to block 95 accounts for allegedly being part of a hostile campaign linked to an exiled critic of China. The Ministry of Home Affairs said Friday that it has directed Facebook, X, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok to bar these accounts from being accessed by users in Singapore. The instructions, made under the country’s Foreign Interference (Countermeasures) Act, known as FICA, were issued for the first time since it was passed in 2021.
