A car travelling at high speed ran over a number of people in the Italian region of Tuscany on Wednesday, killing two young German women on the spot, local authorities said. Mayor Marcello Pierucci said that a car travelling at a “crazy speed” in Camaiore, some 80 kilometres west of Florence, first ran over two German tourists “about 20 years old,” before hitting a further six people and eventually smashing into a parked car.
