Climate activists in Norway have successfully filed a lawsuit against the granting of permits for three offshore oil and gas fields in the North Sea. A Norwegian district court in Oslo declared the licences for the three North Sea fields invalid on Thursday. According to the judgement, the Norwegian government had violated the conditions for the authorizations.
