German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier is on Monday set to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the opening of the Iron Curtain on a visit to the Hungarian border town of Sopron. Steinmeier is due to meet his Hungarian counterpart Tamás Sulyok for the event marking 35 years since the Pan-European Picnic, which was a precursor to the fall of the Berlin Wall.
