The Nigerian Export Promotion Council, NEPC, says the country’s worth of non-oil exports declined to $4.5 billion in 2023 from $4.8 billion in 2022. Nonye Ayeni, the Executive Director of NEPC, disclosed this on Thursday in Abuja during the presentation of the non-oil export performance for 2023. Factors responsible for the decline, according to Ayeni, include political instability in many exportable countries, rejection of some of Nigeria’s products, and the exchange rate crisis.
