Two people died early Sunday when the vehicle in which they were passengers crashed into a pole in Paterson, the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office said. The crash occurred at 4:05 a.m. near the intersection of 18th Avenue and Route 20 south. The two passengers were pronounced dead at Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson. The driver and another passenger are currently in critical condition, the prosecutor’s office said. The prosecutor’s office dod not immediately publicize the identities of the victims.
