Remake. It doesn’t have to be a dirty word, does it? They tend to get a pretty terrible reputation, and I’ll be the last person to deny that there haven’t been some valid reasons for that, here and there. However, there have been some great ones, whether that’s William Friedkin’s Sorcerer reimagining The Wages Of Fear or the Coen Brothers’ True Grit breathing new life into the timeless John Wayne western.
