The 38th Gordon Whelbourn Running Week took place with a series of 5K runs in parks and paths across the area. Newark Athletic Club completed a course every night from Monday to Friday. Leigh Marshall, of Newark AC, was the overall fastest male runner over the week to win Dr Simeon Hansard Trophy. Lewis Hopkinson was second. They also won their age grade prizes 40-49 and 50-59 respectively. Ethan Cooper and Thomas Newbould came first and second respectively, in the under-20 category.
