The Moto G85 was recently spotted on the TENAA certification site. In China, it will be launched under the name Motorola S50 Neo on June 25. Now, the global variant has appeared on the Chinese certification site 3C, as well as on European retail sites, revealing some key details. The Moto G85 is expected to replace the Moto G84 5G.
Moto G85 spotted on 3C website and in European retailers
On the 3C certification website, the Moto G85 is listed under the model number XT2427-4, which corresponds to the Chinese version of the S50 Neo. The global version has model numbers XT2427-2 and XT2427-3. According to the certification list, the Moto G85 will have 33W fast charging support, compared to 30W for its predecessor. During testing, the charger with the model number MC-338 supported 15W, 27W, 30W and 33W speeds.
Meanwhile, Moto G85 was also spotted on the European retailer’s website. The device will be available in gray, olive, and surf colors. The price of the novelty is 349 euros for the configuration with 12 GB + 256 GB of RAM and storage.
The Moto G85 is expected to hit global markets soon. Renders of the smartphone leaked online showed a curved display and a raised camera island on the back. It is expected that 50-megapixel and 8-megapixel camera sensors will be placed under it, and the front will have a 32-megapixel camera. According to TENAA, the device will be powered by a 5,000 mAh battery. The Moto G85 is rumored to be powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 3 SoC. It will feature a 6.6-inch FHD+ OLED display integrated with a fingerprint scanner.
