A busy main road has been shut while firefighters tackle a house fire. Tonbridge Road in Maidstone has been closed between Glebe Lane and Beverley Road while crews work to extinguish the blaze. Six fire engines are at the scene and have been working to extinguish the flames since being called shortly after 5pm. Buses are currently on diversion.
