An army of volunteers who were the first to greet Ukrainian refugees into the country at Stansted Airport have been thanked at a special event. The Ukrainian interim ambassador and Charge d’affaires for the UK Eduard Fesko was the guest of honour at Foakes Hall in Dunmow where 70 helpers gathered for the special ‘thank you’. He came to “offer his gratitude” to the team who were at the centre of the Essex response to the Ukrainian guests fleeing the war.
