State Police have identified thebody found floating in a river in Middlesex County earlier this month as a 45-year-old Edison man. Reynaldo Salcedo-Tavarez was located around 7:40 a.m. on Aug. 8 near where the Raritan River and South River meet in East Brunswick, a spokesman said. State Police declined to offer additional information on Monday, citing the ongoing investigation. The South River is the first major tributary of the much larger Raritan River.
